Secure File Pro is a secure client file exchange web portal, letting you exchange confidential documents with me securely and conveniently. Security is built in and protected by tough, industry-standard security measures.

With that being said the IRS has established stricter & stricter security measures due to all the fraud & identity theft that seems to be more than prevalent in today’s world. My security starts with this secure site that was built by my Webmaster. Notice the lock on my web address. Next I purchase high quality tax software from Drake. They have multiple layers of encryption and everything is password protected and meets the IRS’s stringent rules. The Secure File Pro Software is also a secured site. I was shocked last season when I saw how the programs grew in size on my Tax software with the new security measures.

When you send me docs they don’t go to my website but directly to my tax software. This is the same for any messages you send me through the Secure File Pro. Your docs are always safe in this password protected software. I also store in a locked filing cabinet the few docs I keep per IRS record keeping requirements but most of your docs are stored within the software backed up off site with Carbonite that adds even further layers of encryption. My computer is then further protected with High end Virus & Firewall protection.

I’m sure nothing in this world is 100% but this is sure safer than when clients used to send me docs in the mail or just email them to me. It is important that you know your docs are being handled as safely as they can be handled in today’s world. Many customers still want to do things the old way but I would not suggest that. There is a reason the IRS went to a secure e-file system. Technology is great and in today’s world its also the safest way to deal with sensitive material.
